Leigh Society

You may not know it but the Leigh Society runs the Heritage Centre in the Old Town. Here we bring to the public a wealth of information and knowledge about Leigh and its people.

We give educational talks to local schools and publish our Newsletter The Leighway four times a year - its packed with interest and articles on Leigh.

The Leigh Society responds to planning applications and has a remit to do what it can to protect our heritage.

We are all volunteers and get no grants or other funding.
